Effie Altendorf was born August 27, 1915 in Acton Township, Walsh County, the daughter of Lawrence and Frances (Pokrzywinski) Altendorf. She attended school in Acton Township. On November 4, 1935 she was united in marriage to Dominick Wesolowski in Oakwood, ND. They farmed in Action Township until retiring in 1979 and moving to Grafton. Dominick passed away May 21, 1996. In February of 2003 she entered the Lutheran Sunset Home. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and St. John's Altar Society. Effie loved cooking and baking, gardening, sewing and embroidery. She especially enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Effie brought much joy to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dominick; sisters, Irene Lizakowski and Helen Kasprick; and brother, Sylvestor Altendorf.
