A native of Brantley County, she was a homemaker and a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Norman Everett Johns and Nora Bell Hickox Johns. Her husband, Everett J. Crews, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Buddy Crews of Nahunta; three sisters, Inez Griffin, Jeanette O'Neal and Ruth Harrison, all of Hortense; a brother, Michael Johns of Kingsland; two grandchildren, Alisha and Jeremy Crews; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, from the chapel of Chambless Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Harris officiating.
Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery in Hickox.
Casketbearers were Dale Johns, Clifford Steedley, Timmy Crews, Robert Johns, Andy Johns and Mike Kalberg.
