Gibbons of Livingston county, MO, who is over the age of 21 years and Hettie Davis of Livingston county, MO, who is under the age of eighteen years.
"The mother (Agnes Davis) of the said Hettie Davis has given her consent to said marriage in writing."

SLIM'S MOTHER PASSED AWAY
Mrs. Hettie Gibbons passed away at the home of her son, C. A. Gibbons, at five fifteen Saturday evening, October 22, 1949, at the age of 75 years and 12 days. She had been with her son and his wife for six months.
The Rich Funeral Home Service came for her body Sunday and services were at Pritchett, Colorado, and burial at Springfield, Colorado.
Her husband and one son preceded her in death.
Surviving are: W. V. Gibbons, Bremerton, Wash., Artie Lee Gibbons, Kechi, C. A. Gibbons, Bird City, Rolla Gibbons, Weatherford, Oklahoma, Iva F. Anderson, Wichita, Grace Elges, Pueblo, Colo., Wynona Agnes, Pheonix (sic), Arizona, Trudy Herman, Fallon, Nevada, and Ruth Stuart, Pritcett(sic), Colorado.

OBITUARY OF MRS. HETTIE D. GIBBONS

Hettie Davis, daughter of John R. and Nancy A. Davis, was born at Blue Mound, Missouri, October 10, 1874, and departed this life October 22, 1949, at the age of 75 years and 12 days. On January 14, 1892, she was united in marriage with A., J. Gibbons at Chillicothe, Missouri. To this union twelve children were born, six boys and six girls. One boy and one girl died in infancy, and one son, A. J. Jr. died in 1946. Her husband also preceded her in death in 1947. She, with her family, came to Baca County, Colorado, in April, 1915. Later she lived in Lamar and Pueblo, Colorado. The last few months of her life she lived with her son Clarence and his wife at Bird City, Kansas.
She became a member of the Christian Church in her girlhood. She was a kind and loving wife and mother; always considering the welfare of others more than herself. She never complained even during her intense suffering. She leaves to mourn her departure four sons, A. L. Gibbons of Kechi, Kansas; C. A. Gibbons of Bird City, Kansas; W. V. Gibbons of Bremerton, Washington; Rolla Gibbons of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and five daughters, Iva F. Anderson of Wichita, Kansas; Grace Elges of Pueblo, Colorado; Wynona Pennington of Phoenix, Arizona; Gertrude Herman of Fallon, Nevada; Ruth O. Stuart of Pritchett, Colorado; 23 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and the relatives and a host of friends. She will be missed by those who knew her.

According to the official death certificate # 49 614276 from the State of Kansas, Hettie Ann Gibbons died of Carcinoma of the colon, from which she suffered for two years. She was living with Clarence Gibbons at 311 West 7th St. in Bird City, Kansas, where she had been staying for the six months prior to her death.
