"Private Funeral Rites Tomorrow For Pioneer Man"
Private services for John William Crampton, 52, who died at the family residence on South Broad street early Thursday morning will be held from the Jones Funeral Home chapel at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon with burial in the Globe cemetery. The Rev. H.O. Nash of St. John's Episcopal church will officiate.
Mr. Crampton, who was a hoisting engineer at the Old Dominion mine for many years, retired about nine years ago. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Crampton, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Barrett, all of Globe.
