Friday, February 6, 2009 Maude "Peg" Glasco, 83, of Kennett Square, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Life Care Hospital in West Chester.
Born in Red Hill, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary McBeth Smyth.
She was the wife of Earl Glasco, with whom she shared 19 years of marriage.
Peg was a member of the Salvation Army Church in West Chester.
She loved volunteering, cooking, gardening and playing bingo.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Mary Lou Kitchen of Pottstown; three stepsons, Wayne Glasco of Kennett Square, Kevin Glasco of Townsend, Del., and Gregory Glasco of Bear, Del.; two grandsons, Kevin Kitchen and Steven James Kitchen; and three great-grandsons, Austin, Tyler and Chase.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert John Shupe; and a brother, Robert John Smyth.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, at the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
To honor Peg's request, there will be no viewing.
Entombment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, West Chester.
