Margie Watson, 82, of Lubbock died Tuesday at her home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the W.W. Rix Chapel with James Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Margie was born June 7, 1926 in Smyer. She was a graduate of Smyer High School. She married R.G. Watson on July 19, 1947 in Waco. She was a nurse for many years, an avid seamstress, and loved painting and crafts. She was known as a giver more than a taker.

Survivors include her husband, R.G.; one son, Danny Watson and wife Connie; daughter, Penny May and Husband Fred of Lubbock; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sammie Wright of Richmond, Texas, Billie Harvey of Muleshoe, Irene Kearney of Burnett, and Anna Mae Griffith of Friendswood; and one brother, Marvin Curtis of Alvin.
