Mrs. Annie C. Bitner, widow of Abram Bitner, died this morning at 7 o'clock at her late home, No. 726 Columbia avenue. Her death was due to pneumonia, after an illness of a week. She was sixty years old and a daughter of the late David and Maria Hostetter. Her husband died in May, 1906. Mrs. Bitner was a member of the First M.E. church. The following children survive: Grace, wife of Samuel B. Smith, Lancaster; John W. and Herbert, Philadelphia; Walter, Clarence and Robert, all of South Bend, Ind.; Anna, wife of Ralph Hostetter; William and Charles, Lancaster. Three sisters also survive: Mrs. L.E. Eby and Mrs. Emma McKeown, of this city, and Mrs. Lillian E. Weitzel, of Lititz. (The Lancaster Examiner - Jan 11, 1913)
