OBITUARY: Ludie Maudine Bailey, daughter of Mr & Mrs J W Bailey, was born Nov 14th, 1893 & was called from this world of pain & suffering, to the eternal home, peace & joy of her blessed Saviour, in whom, though so young, she implicity trusted, on June 28th, 1901. Though an invalid & a great sufferer all her life, she was truly an inspiration to all who knew her, dispelling the clouds of discouragement & discontent that sometimes darken the pathway of those in health by her bright, sunny smiles & sweet words of cheer. She was truly loaned of God, & too sweet & pure to be spared long from her heavenly home from which she was bright little visitor to cheer & encourage us on our way through a world of sorrow to that same haven of rest & home of the blest.
We thank God for her life, though so short, for its enobling influences, causing us to think of better things, & of a brighter, sweeter, happier life beyond the grave, where with her, we hope to live with out blessed Lord.
Lula Lance & Annie Lance.

THE DISPATCH regrets to learn that the infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Bailey died last Friday morning at their home in the Wood neighborhood after being an invalid nearly all her life. The little girl was named Ludie and she was nearly eight years old when the Messenger came Friday morning and summoned her home to rest. The funeral was held yesterday morning and the interment was at the Rowan graveyard. Many friends will sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. Bailey and in this THE DISPATCH wishes to join.
