She was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Carrollton, Ky., the daughter of Howard and Virginia Dunn Perkins, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Kentucky and had resided in Madison community since 1964. She was a 1958 graduate of Holmes High School in Covington, Ky. She was united in marriage on May 2, 1964, in St. Anthony Catholic Church in China, Indiana, to Bernard Nicholas Geyman. To this union arrived two sons to bless their home. She had been employed with the General Dollar Store as a cashier. She previously was the assistant manager of the Country Hearth Inn and as a desk clerk and night auditor for the Hillside Inn. She also had worked in the past for Best Western as a desk clerk. She enjoyed going to Sullivan College with her husband and receiving two business management and accounting degrees. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Perkins and Virginia Dunn Perkins; a grandson, Corey Scott Geyman; and stepmother, Mary Perkins.
Visitation at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. Thursday. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of King's Daughters' Hospital or a Mass. Cards are available at the funeral home.
