Leroy W. Motter, 83, of Myerstown, Pa., died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. He was the husband of Claire L. Minnich Motter, to whom he was married 43 years on July 31. Born in Harrisburg, Pa., on August 13, 1925, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Clara (Ettien) Motter. He had been a self-employed farmer in Myerstown for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Elaine Althouse of Myerstown, Gail Wolf of Lebanon, Pa., and Gloria Buchanan of Myerstown; sons Eric Motter of Myerstown and Dwayne Motter of Myerstown; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; two sisters; three brothers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa.
