Mervln C. Black, 65. a carpenter, died at his home, Biglerville R 1, at 7:40 o'clock. Friday evening following a heart attack suffered a short time earlier. Mr. Black had been in failing health since a previous heart attack in November 1944.
The deceased was a member of the Wenksville Methodist church and was a son of the late Henry and Lucy (Homer) Black. He was bron and lived all of his life in upper Adams county.
Surviving are his widow, Nervi (Cooley) Black; a daughter, Gretna, a home, and a foster daughter. Mrs. C. E. Oslen. Colonial Park. Harrisbung,two brothers and a sister, Harper Black, Harrisburg; Mrs. Lillie Warren, Biglerville and Lacey Black. Biglerville R. 1.
Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Black home with further services in the Wenksville Methodist church with the pastor, the Rev. George Harrison, officiating
Interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
