Visitation for Theresa A. Cooper, 91, of Kankakee, will be from 1:30 p.m. today until the 3 p.m. services at the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, West

Kankakee. Rev. Curt Boyer will officiate.

A graveside commital service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Kankakeee Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.

She died Thursday (Sept. 30, 2004) at Prairieview Lutheran Home.

Mrs. Cooper was a retired farmer.

She was born March 20, 1913, in Otto Township, the daughter of Otto Sr. and Theresa Schulte Ahrens.

Her husband, Howard Cooper, whom she married May 21, 1933 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kankakee, is deceased.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Norman and Lois Cooper of St. Anne, Paul and Dorla Cooper of Chebanse, Marvin Cooper of Bradley; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Seven brothers, John, Carl, Arthur, Harvey, Otto Jr., Laon and Rudolph Ahrens; two sisters, Ruth Embling and Esther Ahrens; and one great-grandson, Dustin
Luedtke, are deceased.

She was a graduate of Chebanse High School.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kankakee, and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Riverside Auxiliary.

She became a charter member in 1929 of the Chebanse American Legion Auxiliary Post 408.

She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and was an avid Cubs fan.
