Margaret Teresa Brennan was born in Rhue, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo on 30 March 1890. She was a daughter of Pat Brennan (1853-1915) and Ellen Frizzell (1861-1935) and a grand daughter of Pat Brennan and Honor Healy and John Frizzell and Winifred Keaveny. She married Patrick Walsh, (1882-1922), a farmer from Rhue, son of Luke Walsh, on 12 March 1918 in St. Attracta's Church, Tourlestrane. Their children were Eileen (1918-1978), James, (1919-1998), John (1921-2014) known as Louis and Patrick, (1923-2004). Margaret migrated to the USA in August 1926. Her brother, James, took in and raised one of her children and her brother, Patrick, took in and raised the others. Margaret became a Naturalised US citizen on 3 Feb 1936.
On 1 May 1931 she married John Carros, (1901-1967) a Greek immigrant in New York by whom she had another child called George Carros (1933-2016). Margaret worked for many years in the St. Regis Hotel, NY as a chamber maid. Margaret died at a nursing home in Massapequa, Long Island, NY.
