Charles Edgar Booth, Jr. 92, Clearwater Commons, 4519 E. 82nd St., Indianapolis and formerly of Marion, died Monday, February 2 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born to the late Charles and Viva (Sechrist) Booth on January 19, 1917, in Alexandria, Indiana. Mr. Booth had a brother, Nathan and a sister, Margaret. He graduated from Marion High School in 1935, attended Ball State University and graduated from Indiana Business College. He was married to Carmen Erwin from May 1947 until her death in November 2002. Mr. Booth worked for many years at National China, Inc., as accounts receivable manager, moving to Indianapolis when the company was acquired by Sysco Corporation in 1973. He retired in 1984. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. Mr. Booth is survived by his son, Richard (and wife Christine) of Ardmore, PA, and their two sons, Charles Edgar III of Arlington, VA, and William Turner, a law student at the University of Michigan, and by his daughter, Rebecca (and husband Robert) Schwartzkopf of Fishers; granddaughters, Amy (and husband Vincent) Norkus of Indianapolis and Megan Schwartzkopf and two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Holden Norkus.
