Surviving are four sons: John R. Brown and Rickie L. Brown, both of Port Richey, FL, Roger A. Brown of Leitchfield, KY, and Michael M. Brown of Anderson, IN; four daughters: Linda Sue Gruenburg of Newberry, IN, Bonnie G. Duegan of Greenfield, IN, Tammy E. Hood of Lawrence, IN, and Julia A. Lopez of Indianapolis; one brother, Paul Warner of Fox, AR; one sister, Roberta Lawyer of Bedford, IN; twenty grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was a World War II United States Navy veteran and was a member of the Ingalls Church of God. He retired in 1989 after 28 years as a tow motor driver for Chevrolet truck and bus plant in Indianapolis. He belonged to the United Auto Workers and the Fortville Senior Citizens organization.
Services for Charles Warner will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 1998, at the Ronald L. Seals Funeral Home in Fortville (IN) with the Pastor Woodrow Alley officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Fortville American Legion Post No. 391 and the Fortville VFW Post No. 6904.
