Mabel Matthews Allen, 92, of Rocky Mount, Va., passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Allen; sisters, Geneva M. Carter and Katherine Matthews; and brothers, John W. Matthews and T.D. Matthews. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009, from Sunset View Memorial Gardens, Woodstock, Va., with the Rev. John Cooper officiating. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, you consider a memorial donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17 Chicago, Ill. 60601-7633. Also, the family would like to thank that staff at Richfield for their loving care.
