A native of Clark County, he is the son of Betty Saylor Bond of Winchester and the late Prescott Bond. He was retired from IBM after 12 years and was a member of the Allensville Baptist Church.
Other survivors include one son, Jerry C. Bond II of Clark County; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia Bond of Winchester and Connie (Vic) Wilson of Winchester; three nephews, Scott Bond, Beau Bond and Clayborne Bond; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Lee Bond and Andy Ray Bond.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. by Dr. Ed Mesta at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Jerry C. Bond II, Vic Wilson, Charles Saylor, Scott Bond, Chuck Saylor and Jeff Rowland.
Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
