She was born Feb. 22, 1892, to Irving and Henrietta Gordon Avery. She was married to Harrison C. Irwin.
She was a member of Drew Methodist Church and the Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving are three sons, Nial of Califon, N. J., Carl of Matamoras, Pa., and Harry of Port Jervis; two daughters, Mrs. David Laizure of Old Bridge, N. J., Mrs. Jane Fuller of Port Jervis; two brothers, Herbert Avery, and Arthur Avery, both of Monticello; a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Rippon of Port Jervis; thirteen grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Frank C. Shannon, pastor of Drew Methodist Church, will conduct services at 10:30 Wednesday in the Knight Funeral Home, Port Jervis. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, Pa.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 today.
