Bobby C. Musgrove, 75, was the youngest of 11 children to the late William L. and Elma K. Musgrove, He married Maxine on May 25, 1957, in Danville.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, daughter, Barbara Musgrove (Mark Prieto), two sons, Bill (Alicia) Musgrove and Robert (Angie) Musgrove, four grandchildren, a great-grandson, three sisters, Jennie Pace, Carolyn (Fred) Johnson and Janell Holifield and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Kellon, Morris and Orvel and sisters, Josephine, Vernice, and Hilanese.

Bobby had a true love and devotion to Maxine and his children. He greatly enjoyed and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bobby was not a man of many words. To understand Bobby was to understand his thoughts and actions through his quietness. Bobby demonstrated dignity, grace, strength, and tenderness, making him a true role model for his children. He gave so much of himself so often, without expecting anything in return. His easy-going, calm and comforting demeanor made him a true honorable Southern gentleman.

Bobby proudly served in the U.S. Army as an artilleryman. He retired from the VA Hospital after 38 years working primarily as a painter. Bobby is known for his dedication, loyalty, and good work ethic and has received high commendations. He made friends with all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He always offered to help his friends and neighbors without being asked. Bobby's favorite pastime was gardening. He always planted more than what the family needed, and especially loved sharing his bounty with others; the bounty of food and kindness.
