"David Dobson, aged sixty-nine years, died at his home in El Reno Monday afternoon. The funeral took place from the family residence yesterday morning."

"El Reno News, Friday September 11, 1896
Died, - Monday evening at his home on Capitol Hill, David Dobson. The deceased was an old soldier and was buried Wednesday at 10 a.m. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L. L. Smith of the Baptist church."
