He & his brother Lois were working at General Tire & Rubber Co. in Waco, Texas. They meet & later married a couple of girls (best friends) that were working there as well (1945). Both girls had children from previous marriages. The brothers took the children into their hearts as if they were their own.
Rufus, was wonderful to all of us. He always enjoyed having a garden and most of all he loved to go fishing. He was taken from us way to young. The best Grandfather anyone could want. I so wish that my children & grandchildren could have known him. We miss him so much.
