Donald Ray Ashcraft, 59, of San Felipe, Mexico, died August 24. A graveside service was held Monday Sept. 8 at the Burns Cemetery in Burns, with Pastor Robb Foreman officiating.

Mr. Ashcraft was born May 17, 1949 in Burns to Herbert and Annola (Lloyd) Ashcraft. He graduated from Grant Union High School. Don was a truck driver, both timber and long-haul. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1969. He served two terms in Germany and Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold Ashcraft, and Herbert Ashcraft Jr.; and sisters, Betty Sue Ramsey and Mary Lou Johnson. Sadly, Mr. Ashcraft's brother Craig died just one week after him.

Survivors include his brother, Bob Ashcraft of Portland; nieces Cherol Unis of Bend and Patricia Coffman of Cottage Grove; and nephews, Lee Ramsy of Bend, Craig Allan Murray of Eugene, David Murray of Santa Maria, Calif., and Bobby Ashcraft Jr. of Eugene.
