Mrs. Essie Leach Paris
Graham — Mrs. Essie Leach Paris, 80, of 5473-A Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road, died at 11:20 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2000, at her home after two years of failing health, one week critical.
A native of Greenville, S.C., she was the wife of Mr. Jack Paris, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Carl Morgan Leach and Mrs. Beulah Nelson Leach, both deceased. She was retired from Haw River Remnant Shop and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Bennie Paris Smith of Atlanta; two sons, Mr. George Paris of Cooley of Easly, S.C., Mrs. Jessie Solomon of Chambersburg, Pa., Mrs. Lois Ryan of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Betty Wicker of Asheboro; a brother, Mr. Donald Ray Leach of Burlington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Ruby Randolph; and a brother, Mr. Edgar Leach.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Salem United Methodist Church by the Rev. Benji Kelly and the Rev. Sam Martin III. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
