William Henry Minnich
---------------------
The son of Israel & Lydia (Roudabush) Minich, he married Caroline Barrick and fathered the children you see linked below. In 1860, he was a farmer living with his family in Frankford Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
A Civil War veteran, he was drafted in Carlisle October 16, 1862, mustered into federal service at Chambersburg November 1 as a private with Co. C, 158th Pennsylvania Infantry (aka "Drafted Militia"), and honorably discharged with his company August 12, 1863. He also enlisted in Harrisburg September 10, 1864, mustered into federal service there September 14 as a private with Co. F, 209th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company May 31, 1865.
He stood 5' 9" tall and had dark hair and brown eyes. There is some indication that he was actually named "William Henry."
