Obituary - J.A. Nevils was born November 18, 1844 and died May 17, 1922. He was a Confederate Soldier. Before he was 18, he married Mozelle Nevils, widow of his elder brother, Jake, and mother of two sons, Lawson and Jake Nevils. To them were born eleven children, all of whom survive except one daughter, Sallie, wife of S.J. Riggs. On June 3, his wife died of a broken heart. She was born May 24, 1838. They were buried side by side at Lower Lotts Creek. (By their daughter, Mrs. J.H. St. Clair)
