MOTHER OF BISHOP DIED EARLY TODAY
Mrs. Margaret Schwebach Passes Away At Episcopal Residence At 9:00 O'clock. Rev. Father Congdon to Deliver Sermon in English and Genoa Priest in German.
Mrs. Margaret Schwebach, aged 88 years, mother of Rt. Rev. Bishop Schwebach, of the La Crosse diocese of the Roman Catholic church, died at the Episcopal residence at 9 o'clock this morning of old age. Margaret Busch was born in Landscheid in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, on March 23, 1823, and she was married to Nicholas Schwebach of Plat, Luxembourg, in 1845. She was the mother of ten children, three of whom died before her death, this morning. In 1864 her two oldest sons visited America and James, the second son, now bishop of the La Crosse diocese, wrote home the he would not return
to Europe but that he would continue his studies for the priesthood in this country. His good mother would not rest until she and the remainder of the family followed him to America, They arriving here in 1866, and settling in Caledonia, Minn. Her husband died in 1870 and since 1879 she has lived with Bishop Schwebach in La Crosse until her death this morning.
Two sons, three daughters and one grandchild were at her bedside. Leaves Many Relatives Mrs. Schwebach's death is mourned by four sons, Bishop Schwebach of LaCrosse, Phillp of Caledonia, Minn., John of Granville, Iowa, and Eugene of Dell Rapids, S.D.: three daughters, Mrs, Helen Burg and Mrs. Catherine Georgen of Caledonia, Minn. and Mrs. Mary Wagner of Oeschen, Iowa: two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Susan Schwebach of Caledonia, Minn., and Mrs. Lena Schwebach of Granville, Iowa: fifty-nine grandchildren and fifty-five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Saturday
The funeral services will be held at the Cathedral tomorrow morning at 10:00 o'clock, pontifical requiem mass being held in which all the priests in the city will take part. In the afternoon the body will be taken to Caledonia, where burial will take place on Tuesday morning. There will be an address in English by Rev. Fr. Condon, La Crosse, and one in German by the Rev. Fr. A. Ph. Kramer of Geona, Wis. Mrs. Margret Schwebach was a Christian wife and mother in the truest and most beautiful sense of the word.
