He was born in Howe, Oklahoma, to Jefferson Jasper and Effie Thelma (Turner) Faulkenberry. He grew up and attended school in Howe where he was active in the basketball and baseball programs. He later moved to Oklahoma City where he began working for Nash Finch driving a delivery truck for more than 15 years before he moved to Texas where he delivered oil field pipe for many years before returning to Oklahoma City. He married Inafrancis Perteet on June 6, 1986, in Wilburton and they made their home in McAlester where he owned and operated Tiny's 1 and 2 Red Barns in Krebs. He later was an auctioner. He was of the Assembly of God faith where he enjoyed singing gospel and playing the harmonica. He was a resident of McAlester and died there at the age of 72. Survivors include his wife, Inafrancis Faulkenberry, of the home; a sister, Virginia Leiper, of Spiro; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin L. "Joe" and Thelma Faulkenberry, of Tannehill, and Eulice "Dude" and Judy Faulkenberry, of Coweta; a brother-in-law, Olen Gifford, of McAlester. Also, a stepson, Felix Lee "Tiny" Johnson, of McAlester; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Julie Faulkenberry, of Davis; a daughter, Cheryl Moore, of Davis; a special brother and loving friend, Wayne Grantham, of McAlester. And, two granddaughters; a grandson; four special grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Effie Faulkenberry, five sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Gerald Kerns and the Rev. Keith Kinnamon officiating. Burial will be at Perteet Family Cemetery in the Bugtussle Community. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester. Pallbearers will be George (Sonny) Perteet, Paul Petrone, Gary Mooney, Larry Stacey, Dwight Duncan and Mark Faulkenberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Poe Browning, James Fulkerson, Ron Testa, Floyd "Toy" Wingo, Dale Heineke and numerous nephews.
