William Samuel Sorey, 75, died at his residence in St. Brides, Norfolk County, Thursday night at 9:30 o'clock, after a short illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of this section, the son of the late Wilson (entered as William) and Sarah Wallace Sorey, and husband of Milbrey Powers Sorey.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W.H. Powers, Mrs. J. Umphlett, Mrs. R. Cahoon, all of St. Brides, and Mrs. Elma Rosimack, of Greenbrier Farms; four sons, H.W., W.B. W.S. and Haywood Sorey, all of St. Brides; one brother, Wallace Sorey of Philadelphia, and one sister, Lovey Curling of Gilmerton; 25 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The body was removed to Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk.
Funeral will be conducted at 3PM on Sunday.
Burial will be in the family plot in Cooper's Cemetery, Norfolk County.
