EARL H. GIBSON aged 24, died at the home of his parents at Barton on April 26, 1921. Earl at one time was a student at the Behnke-Walker business college at Portland. At the age of 17 her took a job as fireman on the steamer America plying between Portland and Astoria. Then he went to Great Falls, Montana and obtained a position with the Great Northern R. R. which held about four years. he greatly esteemed by his empoloyers from whom he received most creditable promotions. It was at his place he contracted the flu which developed tuberculosis, where resulted in his death.
The funeral was in the Eagle Creek Church Rev. Heisey of Gresham officiating, with burial in the Gibson cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gibson, two brothers Ralph and Franklin, two sisters Mrs. Dora McMurry and Hazel Gibson.

Mr. and Mrs. J. G. DeShazer attended the funeral of Earl Gibson and ex-service man, who was staying with his uncle H. F. Gibson of Barton, one day last week. The deceased was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gibson and was a cousin of Mrs. DeShazer. He died April 25th and was buried at the Gibson cemetery between Firwood and Eagle Creek.
