Mr. Davis was born Sept. 27, 1901 in Jefferson County, the son of R.M. and Lillian Ramey Davis. On Feb. 24, 1926 he was united in marriage to Ruby Watson at Ottumwa.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Christian Church at Abingdon, Iowa, and a member of the Hillsboro Fire Dept.
Surviving are his wife, 3 daughters Mrs. Betty Thornton of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. David (Erma) Brombaugh, of Hillsboro and Mrs. Gerald (Norma) Manly of Fairfield, 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Mrs. Nels Stephens and Mrs. O.A. DeGood both of Abington, Mr. H.O. Davis, Revere, Missouri and Mr. B.O. Davis, Irvington, IA.
