Funeral services for Coree Aarons, 94, New Chapel Hill, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Sharon Baptist Church with Bro. David Dixon and Dr. Ray Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit.
Mrs. Aarons passed away Jan. 31, 2009, in Tyler. She was born Aug. 22, 1914, in New Chapel Hill to the late V.L. and Mary Jane Shofner.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Pharaoh of New Chapel Hill, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Aarons, and brothers, Milton and V.L. Shofner, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
