Son of John Adams and Pauline Brooks; husband of Minerva Henson.

Obituary: JOSEPH ADAMS. Death Thursday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock claimed Joseph Adams, lifelong resident of Scioto county, the final summons coming at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alverna Craine, of 610 Second street (rear). His death resulted from complications. Mr. Adams was born September 11, 1839, and had attained the age of 83 years. He was born in Scioto county and for many years plied his trade of farming until forced to retire on account of failing health. Since the death of his wife, Minerva Adams, who preceded him in death a year ago last November, Mr. Adams had been living with his children. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Craine, of 610 Second street; Mrs. Jennie May, Mrs. Lucy Green and Sarah Adams, of Sciotoville; Mrs. Clara Crabtree and Lorren, of Wheelersburg: Edward of West Covington. Ky.; Frank, of Gephart station, and Albert, of Pine Grove, and a stepsister, Bina Price, of Columbus. Funeral services will be held, from the Wheelersburg Baptist church at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will take place in Memorial Burial Park.
