"Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jo Wilson Cockrell will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Ringgold Assembly of God with the Rev. Bill Back officiating.
Burial will follow at Whitehall Cemetery in Haynesville under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Jan. 22, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cockrell, a resident of Heflin, passed away Monday, Jan. 20. She was born March 11, 1926, in Mena, Arkansas and was a member of Ringgold Assembly of God, where she served as secretary and also sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Weldon Cockrell; two sons; one daughter; one sister; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Allen Cockrell Jr., Lloyd Thomas Cockrell, Kenny Balkom, C.D. Cockrell, Wayne Williamson and Roy Lewis."
