Former Parisian Mary Dowe Mosley Atkins, 93, of Paducah died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Medco Nursing Home in Paducah.

A graveside service was scheduled at 2 PM today at Palestine Cemetery. Jerald Sykes was to officiate.

Visitation at McEvoy Funeral Home preceded the service.

Born March 10, 1906, in Henry County Tennessee, she was the daughter of Sarah Mosley. She was married Dec. 28, 1928, to Ira Eric Atkins, who died Oct. 13, 1979.

A member of Gum Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was a former employee of the Henry County Highway Department, where she worked as a bookkeeper.

She leaves one daughter, Martha Martin of Paducah; two grandchildren, Jeffrey B. Cates of Raleigh, N.C., and Lisa K. Cates of Louisville, Ky., and three great-grandchildren, Erin, Shelly, and Tara Cates.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Kelton, Birdie Denning and Mattie Bolton; and four brothers, Ernest, Claude, Tom and Hoyt Mosley.
