Jeffie Helm, 84, of Merrimac Road, Elkhorn, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, in Campbellsville after an illness. Daughter of the late Elliot Minor and Bessie Clark Minor, she was born May 17, 1911, in Taylor County, Ky. She was a member of Merrimac Christian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Helm, in November 1952. Helm is survived by eight daughters, Annetta Putnam, Margaret Helm, Barbara Jean Helm and Sarah Ann Root, all of Indianpolis, Ind., Evelyn Graham of Campbellsville, Brenda Jo Helm of Elkhorn, Linda Christerson of Louisville and Marcia Cheatham of Lexington; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Oliver Minor, Lee Minor and Mary Willie Malone. Funeral was 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, 1996, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. Ron Fellemende and Pastor Tom Doughtery. Burial was in Tallow Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Malone, Billy Malone, Willard Malone, Ronnie Malone, Dwayne Minor, Walter Helm and John McCauley.
