Morgan was the son of John W. Koch and lived in East Brunswick all of his life. He inherited the 176 acre farm that had been farmed by his father. When Morgan died he passed it on to his son, Charles H. Koch, who was one of the best-known farmers in that section of Schuylkill County in his time. Morgan married Caroline Schoener and they had Harry, Theodore, Josephine, Francis C, Ellen, Albert G, Katie, Carrie Valeria, Agnes, Charles H, and Walter M.
