George was born December 22, 1922. As a civil servant he retired from Mountain Home Air Force Base in 1982, then retired from Simplot Trucking Company in 1984. He and his wife Jeanette lived at Kuna until illness precipitated his being removed to Boise for care.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl "Jeanette" Barker of Kuna, and her family; his children, seven grandchildren and their spouses; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Richard and Perry Barker; and a sister, Edna Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma I. Barker, who died in 1984.
Memorials may be made in his name to Mountain States Tumor Institute, 100 E. Idaho, Boise, 83712.
