OVERBROOK --- Georgia Rosa Anderson, 91, Overbrook, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at an Overbrook nursing home.

She was born Dec. 5, 1912, in Richland, the daughter of George and Ora Bryson Schirmer.

She married Patrick W. Anderson on Oct. 7, 1939, in Lawrence. They farmed and raised livestock in the Richland and Overbrook areas. They also owned and operated the Overbrook Locker Plant from 1968 to 1973. Mr. Anderson died Sept. 10, 1978.

Survivors include three sisters, Olive Marie Taylor, Topeka, and Alice Trout and Darlene Ostrander, both of Overbrook; a stepsister, Elizabeth Schlink, Overbrook; two half brothers, John Schirmer and Jim Schirmer, both of Overbrook; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Overbrook. Burial will be in Overbrook Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson will lie in state from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Greenwood- Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
