Services for Dalton J. Duffy, 78, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elgin Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Reginald Bridges officiating.

Military graveside honors will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002.

He was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Runnells County. He graduated from Bronte High School and attended San Angelo Junior College and Draughn's Business College. He served in the Army during World War II.

He married Ruby Lee Stegall on April 8, 1944, in San Angelo. He was a retail specialist for Fleming Co. until retiring in 1991. He moved to Lubbock on July 15, 1965. He was a member and served as a deacon at Elgin Avenue Baptist Church. He was a member of the Open Heart Club.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lewis of Amarillo, Bill of Lubbock and Jerry of Plainview; a daughter, Carolyn Narron of Houston; a brother, Jimmy Allen of Modesto, Calif.; four sisters, Adelle Lonkausky of Modesto Calif., Joyce Dupree of Arizona, Winnie Esmyer of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Shirley Foley of San Angelo; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
