Age 87, died at home, on Thursday, surrounded by his family; born in St Paul MN; attended the University of Minnesota, where he started his dance band (1939), Tommy Bowes and his orchestra; US Army Air Corps flight instructor during WWII; Pilot for Eastern Airlines for 38 years, flying all aircraft from the Constellation to the L-1011; member of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Highlands in North Carolina.
