Wilma L. Lawver, 82, of Rock City died Thursday January 29, 2009 at Medina Nursing Center in Durand. Born July 24, 1926 in Davis, she was the daughter of Myron and Clara (Koch) Meinert. She was a graduate of Dakota High School in 1944. She and Leland S. Lawver were married January 1, 1946 in Davis. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna, Davis. She taught Sunday school for many years, sang with the choir, played organ for 45 years was on the youth advisor and willing workers.
She is survived by husband Leland of Rock City; two daughters Judith (Jeffery) Mitchell, of Nashville, TN., Janice (Joe) Boyer of Davis; six grandchildren April (Mike) Zettle of Rock City, Adam (Christina) Boyer of Davis, Jessie (T.J.) Zambrovitz of Sycamore, Trisha Brubaker of Easton, PA, Melissa Brubaker of Long Island, N.Y., Alison (Eddie) Arauco of Indianapolis, IN; 11 great grandchildren Maycee, Riley, Mary, Audrey, Cassie, Haley, Emily, Brady, Edmond, Sophia, Ava; sister-in-law Evadine Lawver; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister Frieda Kubly and brother-in-law Nathan Kubly.
Visitation will be 2pm until 5pm Sunday at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota and 10:30 am Monday at St. Paul.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna, Davis with the Reverend Dick Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for the St. Paul Church of Epleyanna.
Visitation will be 2pm until 5pm Sunday at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota and 10:30 am Monday at St. Paul.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna, Davis with the Reverend Dick Thompson officiating.
