Surviving are his wife, Medie Bell Jaco Abston; a son, Billy Abston of Cooper; two daughters, Geneva Vaughn and Glenda Lemon, both of Cooper; a brother, Custis Abston; a sister, Willie Dee Hearn; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
