ANITA TRIBUNE FEBRUARY 5, 1891
Died- Friday night last, after a short illness resulting from childbirth, Mrs. Emelina Akers Parker wife of Theadore Parker; aged 28 years. Deceased leaves a husband and two children, the youngest only six days old, to mourn the loss of a true, affectionate wife and kind, loving mother. Funeral occurred on Sunday afternoon at Highland church, conducted by Rev. Helmick.

She had these children: May Estella Parker born February 4 1882, Lily Parker born August 2 1883 and died November 15 1884. The one daughter, Lilly was thought to have smothered when a little over a month old. One son, Willian Jr was born dead September 16 1889. Another daughter, Laura was killed in a cyclone on June 12 1888.
On January 22 1891, another daughter Ethel Emeline (Stager) was born. A week after he birth, Mrs Parker died. Ethel was raised by her grandmother Parker until her death, then an aunt. Mrs Frank Sisler took her in and put her through school. Ethel graduated from the Anita High School in 1911, married Mr Stager in 1912
