Francis J. "Zoom" Glasson, 87, of Elgin died March 8 at his home. A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Friday March 11 at the Highland Cemetery at Cricket Flats. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Glasson was born May 8, 1918, to James and Matilda Nelson Glasson in Elgin. He attended school in Elgin, adn on May 10, 1941, married Barbara J. Huffman in Weiser, Idaho.
He was longtime volunteer for the Elgin Rural Fire Department and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include children and their spouses, Donnie and Sharon Glasson, and Sharon and Lance Wilson, all of Elgin, and Sandra and Butch Tanzey of Wallowa. His wife, a brother, Ralph Glasson, and a sister, Isabela Morgan, died earlier.
