Death Suddenly claims Mrs. John Curtis
Mrs. Mary Curtis, wife of John Curtis died suddenly at her home in Richville on Friday last, June 13, 1902, from a stroke of paralysis. Her maiden name was Mary Heller, and was born in Tennessee December 12, 1845. She was married to her now bereaved husband, her native state in 1868. In 1884 she came with her husband to this county, where they have since resided. By this union ten children were born, six boys and four girls, four boys and three girls with their father surviving.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday last, from the Richville Baptist church by the Rev. Stagman, of St. Joseph, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Brodbeck cemetery.
