A Native of Missouri, he came to Dinuba from Oklahoma in 1947.
He was a farm worker, working for Vernon Thiesen, and was a member of the Delft Church of God.
He is survived by his wife Bessie of Dinuba, sons Alvin Eugene Bearden serving with the Navy in Puerto Rico, Cecil Ray of Hanford, Jim Dwayne and Ronald Leon of Dinuba and William H. Jr. of Fresno; daughters Gleanda Fern Bearden of Dinuba and Sandra Kay Robinson of Alaska; brothers Forrest and Jess Bearden of New Mexico; Step-brother Stanley Jones of Oklahoma; sister Mabel Petree of Kingsburg, Ruby Neeley of Kansas and Norma Jean Hunt of Texas; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be officiated by Rev. John Wainwright and burial will be at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
