Velma Viola Bulin, was born on February 15,1915, in Gilead, Nebraska. She passed away on January 12, 2009, at the age of 93 years,10 months and 27 days. She lived her entire life in Gilead. Her parents were William and Ida (Messing) Collicott.
Velma was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in Gilead. She was united in marriage to Edward Bulin in Belleville, Kansas, in 1935. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1995. This union was blessed with two children: Edward and Gloria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; two half sisters, Pauline Knigge and Marguerite Haubensack; a half brother, Elmer Komrs. She is survived by her two children: Edward Bulin and wife, Cathy of Hebron, NE; and Gloria Spenser and husband, Tom of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Leona Thornton of Garden Grove, CA; and Wauneta Schmit of Crestview, FL; one grandson, Chris Manning of Gilead, NE; many nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
