Florence Penewit, 93, Beavercreek Twp, died Sunday at Greene Memorial Hospital.

Born April 1, 1896 in Beavercreek Twp., the daughter of Samuel Milton and Margaret (Wolf) Spahr, she was a member of Beaver United Church of Christ.

She married Fred E. Penewit Sept. 1921 and he died March 7, 1988.

She is survived by a niece and her husband, Mildred and William A. Lunsford, Sr., of Monroe, Mich.; four great-nieces and nephews, William A. Lunsford, Jr., John F. Lunsford, Margaret Easterling, and Rebecca Oxman also 6 great-great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Barbara Louise Penewit, two brothers Homer and Harry Spahr and a sister Edna Mae Shepherd.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at McColaugh Funeral Homme, 826 N. Detroit Street, Xenia with the Rev. John Barnett of the Beaver United Church of Christ officiating.

Burial is at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia.

Visitation will be held from noon Thursday until 1 p.m. service tine at the funeral home.
