Son of Steven F. and Silver Bryan "Sisson" Blaser, he grew up in Garber and attended Garber schools. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Dorothy L. Wood in Enid on December 8, 1948. He was employed as Long's John Deere as a mechanic and he was also a farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Garber, where he served as a deacon and treasurer for 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his wife, son-in-law Fred Farr, and four brothers. He was survived by three daughters, Linda Farr, Elaine Voth and husband Dale, and Peggy Froese and husband Mike, all of Enid; six grandchildren; sever great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marjorie Rowton of Haysville, KS, and Mary Tigert of Altus, OK. His funeral was held November 2, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Garber with The Rev. Tom LeGrand officiating.
