George Jack Hill, 80, of Lebanon, a retired rigger with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, died Friday. The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in Rudd Branch Cemetery.
Mr. Hill was born April 23, 1921, at Berkeley County, a son of George W. Hill and Mary Varner Hill. He was a Mason and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Evelyn Chase of Atlantic City, N.J.; Jenewee Scruggs of Hanahan; several nieces and nephews.Friends may call at Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lutheran Hospice, 753 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, Suite 100, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464.
